Tracy sustained an oblique strain in a game against the Braves on May 29. The veteran went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBI in the loss to improve his average to .203 with four home runs and 17 runs batted in 39 games this year.
He also suffered the same injury during the 2007 season.
To make room on the roster, the club sent down Leo Rosales to Triple-A Reno after the reliever went 1-0 with a 5.40 earned-run average in 11 appearances out of the bullpen.
